Dimensies is a collaborative artist’s book by Erris Huigens and Joe Gilmore. Working with photographs from Huigens’ extensive archive, Gilmore constructs a graphic context for painted interventions in and of abandoned spaces, reclaimed objects and details.
Erris Huigens' predominantly site-specific works investigate the concepts of form, painting and drawing in relation to the space where it is produced and installed. His works can be understood as a form of visual sampling. Huigens constantly adapts and appropriates existing material. In this way, a shadow on the canvas becomes a subject and a blueprint for other paintings. A recurring motif in Huigens’ work is the line – this is used like a tag in graffiti and references the artist's subcultural roots.

Joe Gilmore is a graphic designer based in York (UK). He designs books, exhibition catalogues, music packaging, identities and websites for artists, musicians, galleries and cultural institutions.
